Jalapeno itself is derived from the word 'Jalapa', a city in the Mexican region of Veracruz where the chilli was originally cultivated. It was first used by the Aztecs, who used to smoke them to preserve them. This sauce is Gluten free, and suitable for vegans. It comes with a medium heat rating.
